What If??

Take a moment and picture yourself leaving your office after an awesome day.  Everything went perfectly, you got a promotion, and you are over the moon with excitement about it.  You hop in the car, start the drive home, and start texting your spouse to let them know all about it.  You look up and realize you are driving in the wrong lane and your car is about to smash into a semi truck.  You don’t have time to swerve or correct the direction your car is going.  Everything that was exciting and wonderful about the day fades as your family deals with your unexpected loss and the loss of your income.  Would you want your loved ones to be able to maintain the same lifestyle, a better lifestyle or a worse lifestyle if you were no longer around to provide an income?

The answer to this question seems like a no brainer, doesn’t it?  You’d want them to have the same or a better quality of life, right?  You would hope they would be able to drive the same cars, live in the same house, and not have to sell everything off and struggle to make ends meet.

Take some time today to plan for the life insurance needs you might have.  Think about loans you would want paid off, income you would want replaced, funeral expenses you would want paid, and education expenses that you would want paid for your children.  The dollar amount might seem daunting.  The good news is that it will not cost you nearly that much to buy life insurance to cover the number you have calculated.  Your family is counting on you!  Just buy the life insurance already!!
